I bought this lopper to harvest some firewood from all the downed limbs from the ice storm just before Christmas. It works great. The vast majority of limbs are under 6 inches and the lopper handles them just fine. Even the limbs that tore off the tree, but were still attached came off nicely. There's no kickback, no worries of dulling the blade by digging into the ground and much less danger since the blade is pretty much enclosed by the jaws. He cuts firewood to fit easier, and is clearing out brush in the pasture with more ease and less expense than the big cumbersome chain saws.
